Scholarship Information

For double rooms, if space is available, I would like to room with the following student (only mutual requests will be honoured).
I understand that this is an application for housing space at The University of the West Indies, Mona. I understand that my being assigned housing is contingent on space availability. I also understand that my housing costs are due on 30 June 2008 (first day of classes).

Please note that this is a Preliminary Application and Pre-Registration form.  You are NOT registered until you have completed the following steps:

  1. Mona students must complete the normal procedures.  All non-UWI, Mona students must be registered as Specially Admitted, Sponsored (UWI) or Non-sponsored (non-UWI) students.  Auditors should not select Specially Admitted.
  2. To register with UWI, Mona, go to http://www.mona.uwi.edu/admissions/exchange.rtf.  If you need additional information, this can be found at http://www.mona.uwi.edu/admissions/forms/2008_09/instruction_booklet_2008.pdf
  3. You may submit these forms online by scanning the completed forms and e-mailing them to clli2008 (a) uwimona.edu.jm or by faxing them to CLLI 2008 at 1 876 970 2949.  For non-UWI students only, there is a cost of USD30, which can be sent as a bank draft issued to The University of the West Indies or paid upon your arrival in June. This is the University's fee, NOT CLLI's for non-UWI students.
  4. After the application is received, you will be sent an offer letter from The University of the West Indies offering you a place as a Specially Admitted, Sponsored (UWI) student or Non-sponsored (Non-UWI) student. This is important for immigration as well.
  5. If you are not already a UWI student, the letter will contain an ID# which you can then use to access the University's ecommerce facility at https://eservices.mona.uwi.edu/finserv/tuition/ (UWI students can use their existing I.D.#s.)

First Day for Check-In at Preston Hall: 29 June 2008

Note: Payments may be made by cheque, money order, travellers' cheques, cash or credit card.

Note: CLLI 2008 takes place at the Norman Manley Law School.  Workshops and Lectures will take place at other venues.  On the morning of Monday 30 June 2008 (the first day of classes), there will be an hour of orientation for all students.  This hour will be used for student administrative processing (receipt of ID Cards, parking stickers, etc.) and as an orientation to the campus.  The daily schedule is from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
