Are scholarships or other funding available?

All students pay for their tuition.  However, there are a limited number of Caribbean Integration Scholarships funded by The University of the West Indies to assist students from other campuses to get to St Augustine.  These scholarships  cover airfare, accommodation and a 50% meal subsidy.  To be eligible for these, candidates must satisfy the following criterion: be a registered student of the Cave Hill, Mona, Open or  campuses.   Applicants must FULLY register for the Caribbean Language and Linguistics Institute 2010 by 1 March 2010.  This entails completing Part 1: completing the CLLI 2010 online pre-registration and application form, AND Part 2: submission of the Special Admissions UWI St Augustine registration form, sent directly to the CLLI Secretariat (clli.uwi.2010@gmail.com or clli2010@sta.uwi.edu).  Notifications will be sent out by 22 May 2010 confirming funding.  Once a student has qualified for a Caribbean Integration Scholarship, s/he must pay tuition fees within a week to guarantee receipt of the scholarship. In addition, UWI students should contact their respective departments on their campuses for information on scholarships, jobs and other funding opportunities.

CLLI 2010 is unfortunately unable to offer funding for non-UWI students.
